Academic Collaborations

Sustaining a position at the leading edge of technology, requires key knowledge and understanding of cutting edge technology coupled with the possibility of offering new strategies for industry sectors necessitates a continued involvement with Research and Development (R&D) – a position familiar to the FracMan Technology Group since 1995 – the inception of FracMan.

The FracMan Technology Group has maintained and continues to be active in R&D environments through several different channels;

  • University research programmes;
  • PhD and academic sponsorship programmes;
  • Joint industrial and academic research consortiums;
  • Client defined and led initiatives; and
  • Internally led development initiatives.

The FracMan Technology Group have organised and participated in a number of Joint Industry Projects (JIP), spanning the oil and gas, mining, and nuclear waste, renewables, and civil engineering industries.  The projects work towards understanding key objectives, considering technology needs, innovation and the development and implementation of new technologies and workflows.
